This is a video for the song ‘Better Off Broke’, by Austin singer/songwriter Danny Schmidt.  It’s my first ‘official’ music video, and I’m pretty happy with the way it turned out.  It was one of those situations where the plan in your head (that you’re a little skeptical about) actually comes together like you imagined it would...which is fun!  Danny was a good sport as I forced him to perform the song over and over around the Austin area during shooting.  Max Carson co-stars, along with a few ‘critters’ (courtesy of my sister Lisa Curlee).  Above all, it’s a great song, which made my job very easy.  You can see/hear more from Danny at his web site, www.dannyschmidt.com.

Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell LLP is a full-service, national law firm. They held their Partner Retreat at the Hyatt at Lost Pines Resort. This video of the retreat was shot on a Friday & Saturday, then edited on-site to view at dinner Saturday night.

I work on the West Coast each Spring. I love taking a camera and documenting the trips. "Crossing the Desert" highlights the trek from Austin to Californina in the Spring of '08.

"Day at the Beach" is another California trip documentary. Shot simply on a JVC DVL510 mini-DV cam, this is the prequel to "Crossing the Desert".
